API Plan 53B

Our 53B meets all the requirements of API 682. Accumulators are available in 2-1/2, 5, 10, & 15 Gallon capacities. Accumulators are available in carbon steel shells, nickel plated shells, and stainless steel shells, including a code stamp.

Our slide bracket and modular design allow us to supply various combinations of instruments and components to meet the needs of the seal, your process, and the site condition.

We offer both air cooled and water cooled systems. System options are available for both the components and the interconnecting piping. We offer a fully flanged unit with butt weld piping, or a less expensive unit with tubing and ball valves. Please let us consult on your next unit, as the flexibility in our design offers more economical solutions.

Features

The Plan 53B range is available with a pressure accumulator, cooler (finned tube, water or air cooler with fan) and a wide range of instruments.

Advantages

  • Pressurization is by means of a pre-loaded bladder accumulator
  • The nitrogen is separated from the barrier medium by membranes in the accumulator: nitrogen cannot get into the barrier medium or process medium
  • Barrier pressure is created without any need for connection to a nitrogen supply
  • Available with finned tube, water or air coolers with fan
  • Modular system: supports the addition of optional equipment or remote mounts for higher pressure applications

Recommended Applications

  • Petrochemical industry
  • Chemical industry
  • Oil and gas industry
  • Refining technology
Reservoirs

Seal Pots Reservoirs offer full compliance with ANSI and API 682 3rd Edition, providing reliable and robust designs for maximum performance.

Heat Exchangers

Seal Pots heat exchangers are utilized for the efficient heat transfer from one medium to another.  High efficiency cooling coils are available for both liquid to liquid and air to liquid cooling.

Engineered Fluid Systems

Our systems are simple, robust, flexible and reliable. We place great emphasis on manufacturing equipment to operate 24/7.

Dry Gas Seal Panels

Once a seal configuration has been selected, a panel is designed to support the dry gas seal cartridge. The panel design must deliver sufficient volume of barrier gas at the appropriate pressure.
